Pins, Needles, and Baby Boys

I was so glad to hear the doctor say "Well we won't have to re-break his finger!" I felt so relieved....and then she spoke again. "BUT he will have to have surgery." Huh, what?? They felt the best answer to heal his little finger is to put a pin in it coming through the top of the bone. He is VERY active and this will guarantee it will heal fast. Everything went and healed well and I'm so grateful for modern day medicine!

Not great pictures but these fingers were so bruised they were black.

Waiting to be seen by the doctor, he's still climbing on everything even with a broken finger.

Splinting it in hopes it will heal with out surgery, which didn't happen.
High five and in good spirits.

RIGHT after the surgery Christian came down with croup.
He was breathing so badly they admitted him for an over night stay to be monitored.

He had fun playing and having EVERYONE's attention.

We passed some of the time with a game of Peekaboo.
He got the biggest kick out of it.

X-Ray pics after the surgery, everything healed great.
I hope we don't ever have to go through another broken bone again. Grateful for fast healing.
